Interactive experience description
A 3D-model reproduces the architectural marvel of the Jülich citadel, both on the inside and the outside. Virtual reality allows our visitors to roam over the ramparts and through the casemates of the Renaissance fortress and grants access to areas unavailable in real life. With the reconstruction the visitor may experience 2000 years of Jülich’s history, going from a Roman settlement to a planned town of the Renaissance and finally to the modern city of today.
The 3D-model ties in with the exhibition at the Museum Zitadelle Jülich, which contextualizes the reconstruction and deepens the visitor’s understanding of Jülich’s rich history.
